Cultural tips for ordering in France

Always greet the baker before ordering. Saying Bonjour with a smile goes a long way!

Be specific when ordering. Instead of saying un pain, say une baguette tradition if you want a traditional baguette.

Use polite expressions like s’il vous plaît, merci beaucoup and bonne journée.

Cash or card? Some small bakeries may not accept credit cards, so always have some euros on hand.
